 Post subject: Using a USB and dealing with COMM ports

I'm connecting with a USB and fishbowl only wants to read from COMM ports. I'm running XP. Can you suggest how I tell windows that my USB port is a COMM port so then I can tell fishbowl the same? Thanks.

You must use some type of comm port ... if all you have is usb you need to get one of the devices listed in the thread below

If you already have one of these, make sure the drivers are correctly installed, you can check using the device manager to see what is installed on your PC
