Post subject:  GT-View with webpage

Hi,

Is there any how to guide on making the GT-View update a webpage?

And is there any nice html pages anywhere that I can download to display my solar data?

I know the GT-View can ftp but it can also save daily data. So, I'm thinking if the webpage(s) can show daily updates by the GT-View ftp'ing to my website. And I would have a daily ftp by my PC to put the daily save data from GT-View to my website.

Does that make any sense or even possible? Or is there a better way?

Thanks,
Warren

Sure, it can be done. Your going to have to learn though as your requirements are specific to what you want.

Perl is a very common on the computers that are the actual web-servers, most forums are written in perl ( like this one ).

GT-View already does the hard-part, that is it can be configured to provided/send the data to your web-server. It's upto you to parse the text files and or use the png graphics and interrogate into your web presence

Most local community colleges offer courses in web-programming and might be an option for you but to have a ready made "custom" solution is not something your going to find.
