i am a newbie, so be gentle on me, I have just purchased a xantrex gt 5 and am looking into its location options and wondered whether i can connect it wirelessly to my computer to monitor it, so the actual inverter wouldn't have to be visible. I would have difficulty getting a cable from the inverter to my computer. thanks |

I had that problem too, finally installed a used laptop next to the inverter to monitor it's serial port. To build out a zig bee wireless system would have cost more than a used laptop w/XP (Vista laptops don't have serial ports anymore) |
