Post subject:  Florida rebate

Do you know if a husband and wife can each get a rebate on a separate system at the same property? Or is there only 1 rebate per property? The draft rule says resident, but it really is unclear if they mean per property address.

To add to this, I recently emailed the program director on this because I have some worry about the current balance of the rebate program and attempting to get a system installed and not having cash left in the program to get the rebate. He replied that Crist is slated to re-fund the program, though when I read the email again, he did not mention when. However, I'd hope it would be for the next fiscal year which I "THINK" is June-ish. Let's hope this goes off without a hitch.

After looking at the other incentives (i.e. the grants and such), it would seem that the rebate program was WAY more popular than the other programs. Maybe Crist could shift over a little of the funds from the other programs into the rebate program.

Either way, this program is a huge benefit to Floridians and once I get enough capital to do this, I will be taking advantage of it. It's just too bad I put in my solar pool heater long before this program existed :(. Ah well!

Regards.
Dave

I have been in contact with both the DEP and my state legislator, looks like 3.5 Million for the 07-08 year which starts July 1st, but isn't offical until its signed by our governor Crist.

You can thank State Senator Paul Dockery, she is the driving force behind the monies and just happens to be from Lakeland!

On the other money, most has been granted, just the web-site not updated.

Btw, thanks for posting the name of the State Senator. I visited her web site today and wrote a personal "Thank You" email to her for her work on this bill.

Her web site is at:
