Post subject:  Question about Data Logs

Hi all,

I was wondering about the timing of the Data Logs... I've set SG-View to poll the inverter every 5 minutes, but it seems to automatically slow down at the end of the day (going from 5 minutes to 10 minutes and then 40 minutes) before the data ends. Is this normal? It records normally every 5 minutes during the sunlight period. (Though there's not much to speak of right now)

I was also wondering if there's any way to make the logging more exact, such as recording on the dot every 0:05 as opposed to just time-of-the-first-blip +5 +5 +5, etc.

Thanks for taking the time to read and answer!

Michael

ps. example times -- DC pwr:

Post subject:  Re: Question about Data Logs

SG-View only writes data to the log file when the GT inverter reports its online. This check is used to keep the data log from filling with zero value data.

As to the skips, this is due to the on/offline check happens every 5 seconds, the GT inverter is limited in the rate commands can be requested so online check is done at a slower interval as things like Watts is requested every second.

Once running, at intervals as fast as one second will have continuous logged data if so configured
