I just got a new computer running Win 7 to replace a 10-yr old XP3. Wanted to continue monitoring my Xantrex 2.0 inverter. Purchased a USB-RJ45 eyhernet adapter and downloaded SG-View. When I try to run SG-view, I get "Error opening comm port. Please update Port selection." If I then click on the upper left button on the SG screen, and choose "Settings", I get the error message "registry error, win error code: 2" Is this a problem with my USB- ethernet adapter? I've heard that you may need to "run as admin" to get it working. Since I don't have win 7, I have no idea if that will fix it. (Right click the icon, and from the drop down, chose Run As Admin) ? |

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it, but got the same sequence of error messages. Also tried signing on as 'administrator' and downloading SG again. Same result. I have just ordered another USB-ethernet adapter from another supplier. When it comes in next week, I'll try it, and let you know how it goes. Thanks again. Joe- |
