SC-View is a free software monitoring tool for your MorningStar SunSaver & TriStar Mppt series solar charge controller that offers "skins" and other enhancements. Download the application, uncompress and its ready to run, just put in the folder/location of your choice.

For questions and answers, please make a NEW post with your concern and we will in a timely manor address any issues or questions raised

To verify you have the current version:
After the download, unzip and right-click -> properties -> Version -> File Version should be 1.1.0.0 ( SunSaver ) / 0.5.0.1 ( TriStar )

Version 1.1.0.0 has corrected the kWh counter issue and added support for the charger reported datalog values ( 31 days of internally saved performance values )

Hello!

I will try your SC-View on my SS-MPPT controller in a few days when I visit my cabin and wonder if you have an updated version available?

Thanks!

Solar Guppy,
I brought an issue up with Morningstar that your SC-view software also has. That is the fact that your software ticks around 1Kwh for each 100Wh. They sent me a new version of MSview that fixed it, and tell me in the email that it was a scaling error that yours and their software was coded wrong. I just knew that my 90W of Harbor Freight solar panels wasn't ticking over a
KWh per day. Especially when my old E-meter was telling me that I generated 100Wh that day.
Thought you might want to know. SC-view is a nifty little program and I use it daily to log data.
Thanks. If you need any other questions answered, my email is pvale@pvale.com.

Man, that is a VERY pretty interface ! I really like the setup screens etc.

The main screen is nice too, but could you make it so it can re-size to be viewed from a bit further away from the screen ??

I also see just a hint of Borland tools in there...

Nice stuff !

Hi SG,

Are the numbers in the screen dump of SC-View above to scale? The reason I ask is that the Volt*Amp in (146 VA) in the picture above is lower than Volt*Amp out (156 VA).

Regards,
OS

Amps in is SW created so has little meaning ... could be a bug or possible a captured in dynamic conditions
