My apologies if I posted in the wrong area.. Since the MPPT60-150 Xantrex charge controller can take a Max 150Volts and I have 6 panels connected already how can I increase the size of the array without getting another SCC for every 6-8panels? Is it possible to tie directly to the XW4024 inverter without the charge controller? Thanks... |

You add another string of panels in PARALLEL to the first string. If there are only 1 set input connectors, you need a Solar Combiner Box to make the actual parallel connections and fuses (if more than 2 parallel strings) and then you run a large gauge wire to the charge controller. The XW4024 only has an internal AC line charger, for solar, you need to use a separate charge controller - like a MPPT60-150. I'm using a Tristar MPPT 60 myself. http://tinyurl.com/LMR-Solar http://tinyurl.com/LMR-trenches http://tinyurl.com/LMR-Lister Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV Powerfab poletop PV mount | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 400A battery bank | 15, Evergreen ESA 205 fa3 "12V" PV | Midnight ePanel | |
