I just bought a house that has a 1.5kW PV system using a PV Powered PVP1800 inverter. This is of an older generation which has on-board RS232 communication capabilities rather than requiring the accessory board the newer models need. PVP shipped their Command Center software to the installer with each inverter, but the installer of my system either never passed it along to the previous owner of the house or at least she never passed it on to me. I contacted PVP (now owned by Advanced energy) and they don't have the software anymore. I talked to a support engineer there and he had actually gone on a quest for it a couple months ago without luck.

Does anyone here have a copy? From searching the forums it also sounds like there's some homebrew coding going on. Has anybody gotten workable code for the older PVP inverters that they would be willing to share?

Thanks,
-Dave
