After 7 years of dealing with the occasional loss of grid power, I connected a generator to the Line 2.

The Line 2 light blinks but the inverter will not lock. (Light never stops blinking. I’m out of warranty!?!)

A call to Xantrex got me to Sneider Electric which now services their units.

The most likely cause is a $980.25 A/C Board (as opposed to the Controller board since L 1 works fine.)

I find this outrageously expensive, especially considering that it’s likely to be a $2 to $20 part on the board!

Do you know anyone who troubleshoots and fixes these circuit cards?

I have an old DR inverter, not an SW, so I might not fully know what Im talking about. But couldn't you take the L1 connection off and try it on L2 to see if you can charge from the grid through L2? That way if it still doesn't lock you will know its an inverter/charger issue and not an issue with "dirty" power comming from the generator. It is a new generator right? If there has never been a reason to suspect and issue with the inverter, I would sooner suspect the new component to be the issue. Its amazing how many Items are defective at the time of purchase these days, so it should at least be considered. Hope this helps.

After 2 generators failed, we an inverter off a van. When that failed, we plugged L2 into the grid and it still failed.
L2 on the inverter is defective - mine can't be the first!
