Do Xantrex have a 240v 50Hz grid-tie inverter with battery backup?

Xantrex does offer 230VAC 50Hz Inverters in 24V and 48V, but are grid tie comaptible. Check http://www.xantrex.com/web/id/47/p/1/pt/18/product.asp they have other inverters at 230VAC 50Hz.

The SW is NOT gridtie at 50hz, I'm sure of that, Same with Outback products

No one in the US builds such a beast

Solar Guppy is correct. I had left out the "not" in my previous reply. The grid tie 50Hz inverters are all high voltage "string" inverters (such as the GT3.0E http://www.xantrex.com/web/id/178/p/141 ... roduct.asp). I have not found any 50Hz inverters available in the US with UL approval.

you wont find a 50 hertz model with UL approval for use in the U.S.. all the electricity made in the U.S. cycles at 60 hertz! 50 hertz models are made for use in Europe only therefore they don't need UL listing. the gt 5 50 hertz says it complies with some European low voltage thing
