| Post subject: | Xantrex: Any plans for Xantrex product like Sunny Island? |
Does anyone know if Xantrex has plans to develop a Sunny Island like product? I don't know how big the market is, but I would love to have a backup inverter that could communicate with GT inverters to control the output and allow them to run a sub-panel when the grid goes down. The Sunny Island is a very expensive product, I would rather see something in the $2k range. |

i don't know much about Xantrex's plans but the last flyer i received from my SMA distributor had the Sunny Island selling for about $2500. considering all the things that unit is capable of, i thought it ws a good deal...i just haven't done any back up systems to warrant a purchase yet. |

That is a great price, I thought it was about $4k. Too bad it only works with Sunny Boys, I really like the Xantrex GTs. |
