Approximately two years ago, Xantrex sent me a firmware upgrade for my Sw4048 inverter.

The following chips were sent to me and I replaced them.

U-15 rev. 4.16
U-19 rev 4.01
U-9 rev. 4.10
U-12 rev. 4.16
U-18 rev. 4.03

These were sent to me because the generator cyclying programs for low voltage, generator exercise period , etc. did not function. These chips solved the problem.

Last night, the lights suddenly when dark in our home. When I went to investigate, the inverter showed an overcurrent led ??? and when I went to turn the inverter off and back on, none of the buttons worked. When I cut the power off and back on (via the disconnect) I could not get the inverter to turn back on and the overcurrent led continued to glow.

I had to end up replacing the new firmware with the original firmware that came with the inverter. The inverter then worked with one exception. The RY7 relay that controls the starting of our back up generator has stuck in the closed posiiton. Yellow LED stays on constantly.

Is the relay replaceable or does one have to buy the circuit board?
Can I get a set of replacement firmware of the same revision that is now no good?
Can I order both of these from Xantrex?
