Wasn't sure about where to ask this, but I'm getting ready to take the plunge on solar heat for my pool. Is $3400.00 a reasonable price for a 6 panel system installed? I live in the Tampa, FL area, and will be purchasing from Solar Source.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

My system cost about 1400 in parts for a 5 panel system ... but this includes a differential controller and a motoriized control valve which most systems don't include when contractor installed.

The quote from the pool builder was 3500.00 ... So for ordering some parts and less than a full day to install I saved over 2000.00

The collectors go for about 150.00 a piece for the 4ft x 12ft , the pvc is about 100 bucks for everyting , the three way valve is about 50 bucks.

The Motorized valve and controller were about 400 in cost

Its a pretty simple job , if you can use a hack saw and glue pvc pipes you can do the solar install
