If you're looking for a panel upgrade, feggit about it. They may send you replacement KC-80-01s, which actually are a different size from your originals, so be ready to adjust the whole array rack up on your roof.

I wasn't too happy about that, but I'm sure pleased about the new performance results - wow, what a difference!

I know of a system, that was 72 KC-120's, they swapped them all out and that was last fall ( 2005 ) .. I thougth the KC-125 are the same size as the 120's, never heard of them using KC80's for the 120 replacement before

Sorry - I was just giving my KC-80 experience as an example. You are interested and focused on the 120s to swap out. Just beware that there might be differences in physical size from the 120 to the 125 if they use the latter for a swap (you'll have to check the specs so as to avoid a surprise).

Kyocera has informed me that they will replace my entire set of 16 panels.
I'm know waiting for details of ship date. Does anyone know if Kyocera pays cost of the bad panel return shipping? They have not indicated this yet. Thanks

Kyocera will pay for everything to get the panels to you as well as pickup the old ones. You have to handle the phyical work of changing out the panels with the ones you now have on site

Kyocera is currently replacing the KC-120's with KC-130's - same size and shape but much sharper looking (black frames and a darker substrate). All 24 of mine were swapped out even though only about 6 were bad. Kyocera does, indeed, stand behind their products. The extra 240 watts is icing on the cake! My inverter is now routinely pegging out at 2500 watts but rarely exceeded 1900 before.
