I am looking to purchase 30 Sanyo HIP-190BA3 or HIP-200BA3 modules for my self installed system. I have called a few places and these modules seem to be in short supply. I would appreciate any recommendations for vendors that have stock.
Thanks in advance,
Bryan Zublin

I wish I had better news for you, but if you can find ANY panels in stock you had better buy them now. Lead times are in the 6-9 month range, depending on quantity or make.

http://www.affordable-solar.com/sanyohit190watt.html

claims in stock, these are just a google hits and I know nothing about these dealer(s)

http://store.solar-electric.com/sa190wahitso.html says you can pre-order for June availability

http://store.solar-electric.com/instock.html is the only site I know of that actually lists what they have in stock, they also have there own solar forum that has a good following

From the looks of it, only Kyocera panels can be had, the 190's while a little bit bigger than the sanyo's would probably be your best bet if you need panels now.

If you do find them, please update your post to where and what you paid to let others know if they are searching!

When I and my dealer were looking for them last winter, Sunwize was the best supplied distributor, but I haven't looked in the last four months.

Sunwize doesn't sell retail, and they only sell complete packages with inverters. There's a dealer contact form at http://www.sunwize.com/buy/dealerconnect.htm . Some of the Internet stores sell Sunwize packages too.

So far, my Sanyo 190's are great panels. My system rates 3040 watts output, according to the California Energy Commission test ratings. Today I was over 3100 watts for almost an hour, with a peak at 3180. This is with three strings, two facing 160 and one facing 250, paralleled on the same inverter.

They are also the most space efficient panels I know of, and they are high voltage so the strings are shorter, giving more layout flexibility.

That said, they are hybrid technology so some people will question whether their output will last. Sanyo had some graphs that showed them just about constant over three years, but time will tell.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the Sunwize packages but decided to go with individual components to save cost. I ended up buying Kyocera KC200GT (200 watt) panels because the price per CEC watt was less than Sanyo. The array will be bigger than what I originally planned but in the end I will have more total power for less cost than the Sanyo's, even after considering the higher efficiency of the Sanyo.
