Ok my panels have come 4 Sharp ND-208U1. In the manual it said to cover the surface of the modue with cloth to isolate the module from incident light. Is this common practice? Thanks |

i answered this on wind-sun, but you will probably get the same answer here. i am curious as to where it is you got them and for how much. what configuration are you using them in, controller, and battery arrangements also out of curiousity? |

My batteries are hooked up to 24 volt, I have a Mx 60, panels wired at 48 volts, I got the panels (Sharp ND-208U1) at Mr. Solar at $950.00 each, it wasn't so much the cost of the panels that made me go there as was the shipping cost of only $120.00, where the other places more west of me was $300.00 plus. Being in Maine it's costly on shipping up here. Thanks |

yes most of the dealers are out west with a few here in the east and that limits our choices unless we pay for higher s/h costs. shipping from mr. solar to me here in pittsburgh is fairly cheap. i have dealt with mr. solar before and you have to watch out for order screwups. granted it may be different now, but i ordered twice and brent screwed up my order twice a few years back. |
