Stumbled across this on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Siemens-Earthsafe-G ... dZViewItem Looks similar to the Trace/Xantrex ST-series inverters, except this is only 1000W and 120VAC output. Anybody any comments about this inverter? Is it better on MPPT tracking on dynamic conditions than original ST, for example? |

Thats what caused Advance Energy to go into Bankruptcy, the failure rates in the field were near 100%. Beacon bought the assets in 2003 I believe, and sells the M5 in low numbers. M5 was designed by Advance Energy but didn't make it out of beta before BK and the being bought by Beacon If the above isn't clear on my opinion, don't walk, RUN away from even thinking about getting the GC-1000 ... it will turn into a flaming , molten boat ancor! |
