Flexmax 80 is available for purchase!

Ive been looking for a way to connect my Sunpower positive ground panels to a battery bank as some of you know. I decided to check if this unit would support that, maybe an isolated charge controller. This is what they say about positive ground.

Requires two Pole Breakers for switching both positive and Negative Conductors on both Solar Array and Battery Connections (HUB-4 and HUB-10 can not be used for use in positive ground applications)

I think that from this I can assume that this controller cannot Isolate the ground either and ultimately if you wanted to use this with a negative ground inverter such as the GVFX3524 then you would still need a negative grounded array. Right? :?:

Correct, Neither Xantrex or Outback controllers are isolated designs

So, why is it that nobody manufactures an Isolated Ground Charge Controller. There is obviously a small need, I have talked with others that showed intrest in this Idea and nobody seems to think it would be cost prohibitive. Oh well. :?

Thats your answer, it's very expensive to bring to market a product and there needs to be enough sales of units to make it profitable.
