Anybody know what the temperature measuring element is? 100Ohm RTD, thermocouple, or thermister? Didn't get one when I got my controller, and short on $$ now. Have thermocuples of various flavors around, and maybe a RTD or two.

Thanks
Perry

the cost of the bts isn't much and your system should operate without it until you obtain the bts. even if one knows the method being used by the respective bts, one cannot predict that the part they choose to use will be within the same tolerances that the manufacturer incorporates let alone the thermal resistances they've incorporated into the bts they use. it's just too risky to do it yourself for the cost of it as trying this yourself could windup worse than no bts at all.

The Remote temperature sensor is a 10K NTC Thermistor, they are rather prolific and used in nearly all temp measuring devices from indoor/outdoor therms, to hot tubs and air conditioners.

I made mine from a thermistor I pulled out of a broken thermal electric water cooler, they tend to have two in them so you end up with a spare! :D
