Hi Ron.

You read my mind about drawing power from opposite ends of the battery bank.

Nice schematic from Home Power.

Any suggestions on fusing a 64-battery 48-volt bank?

Hi Art,

Fuse with a 200 to 400A Class T or similar DC fuse with a high interupt capability and use a 175A Heinemann breaker for a disconnect. You could probably get by with just the breaker.

You could also use the Outback PS2DC with three 100A breakers for groups of 4 to 6 strings per breaker or up to 8 70A breakers with 2 strings per breaker.
