Post subject:  Sine vs modified

I'm wanting to put together my first solar electric system.

About inverters - I was considering the Xantrex DR series. It has a "modified sine" output. I want to be able to run the following:

1) lighting, probably those little screw-in flourescents
2) a refrigerator (possibly with the FF heater disabled)
3) a couple of fans
4) a tv
5) a computer
6) perhaps a small microwave oven

Would any of these loads require pure-sine power?

your fans will be noisy on a dr and the fridge probably want last as long the modified sine wave makes motors run hoter then normal i would highly recomend a sine wave with the price of the sw plus series now no reason not to
