Hi Robert,

Just finished stripping my pool array off the roof (22 panels), it was not mounted with rails and would have lost those panels for sure if I didn’t pull them off the roof.

They just announced a level C mandatory evacuation for the Tampa bay area; this is looking to be a worse case scenario in both winds and flooding. To make matters even worse, we have had record rains for the last two week and many areas are already flooded ... this is going to be very bad for a huge population of people I fear...

I'm In Lakeland, which is dead in the middle of Florida, but they expect hurricane wind even here, 45 miles inland. I'm confident my home will be fine as will the two remaining arrays , I'm presently trying to see if I can get a charge controller and inverter to use my array in the case of a extended power loss … I have 5 Grid tie inverters on site 

Thank you for your concern, I think Friday the 13th will have a new meaning for many people here in Florida

Henry

Well, all is well in Lakeland. We got quite a show yesterday , winds over 100 mph and I am happy to report there was no damage to my home or solar panels.

It a site for eyes to see wind ripping at 100 mph , but not even a shingle moved on the house , they really do build new home down here for 125mph winds , impressive.

So now I get to clean the yard and remount the pool array .. everything should be back to normal be th end fo the weekend !
