Post subject: Evergreen vs Kyocera 120 panels?
PostPosted: Sun Feb 27, 2005 6:55 pm GMT EthGMT
Has anyone seen a side by side comparison of Evergreen's ec-115 panels versus Kyocera's 120's? I am looking at installing 16 panels and currently have 1 Kyocera 120 that i'm doing some performance tracking with. I would like to go with the Evergreen panels if they perform as well or better than the Kyocera 120. I have been fairly happy with the results so far. My best days have been .7 kwhr and 58-59 Amphr's on a 12 volt system with my 17 day average being .48 kwhr's and 41.8 amphr's. I'm currently using an MX-60 charge controller and will probably need to do a grid-tie/ battery combo. My local utility does not allow net-metering and the difference in price between what I'm paying (.11/kwhr) versus what they would pay me (.025/kwhr) would negate any saving.
