I have the GT view software working on my laptop via a direct connect to the grid tie xantrex. When I downloaded the software from the xantrex website to another laptop I got an error message that said the software doesn't work on a dos system or nt software. I am running windows xp . Is there something in my computer that I can disable to so I can download the software ?

You need to post this to the Xantrex forum as it sounds if they are doing some type of OS check before starting the download? I've never seen this personally
