Using both GT-View versions 1.6 and 1.8, I have seen the Peak AC "limited" to 3499 even though the Inverter Watts and Daily Logs show sustained AC Watts as high as 3815. The incorrect lower number is recorded in the Daily Totals. Has anyone seen this? Can this be corrected by changing a configuration file? I have a new Xantrex GT3.8.

Yes,

This is a "bug" with GT-View. GT-View was written for the GT3.0 and was coded to limit the peak to 3500 watts, which was 500 watt over the rated inverter

Xantrex Has since released newer models and with the GT3.8 has exposed this limit

I have posted a "Beta" version , http://www.solar-guppy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=450

Please note:

This is the actual GT-View program NOT an installer. Follow the instruction under the Beta Version link to install manually the Beta Program. If you find problems or have issues questions, please make a new topic with your concerns

I'm running the 1.9 beta version with a Sunpower SPR-4000x inverter. It appears that this setup still has the 3,499 bug. The log file shows today's peak at 3,773 but the image has it as 3,499.

Odd, it's been working fine for me. Perhaps check the file actually wrote over the older .exe file ?

The help screen shows "Version 1.9". Do you also have the Sunpower inverter? I was thinking, one way to fix the original bug might be:

Code:
limit = 3499; // this is the old limit
If (inverter == GT 3.8) then
limit = 4000; // fix it for the bigger inverter

In this case its only fixed for "GT 3.8" and it might not recognize the "SPR-4000X" even though they are basically the same.

I won't buy that, because the inverter at http://www.sbcmd.com/solar/ often runs over 4K, and folds back at 4200watts input [DC Current limit] and it's a SPR-4000x

Please download GT-View 1.9 again. The verison you grabbed was not 1.9 ( if you do propertys and then version info you will see its 1.8.1 on the version you have now )

Files got moved around and causes the mix-up!

I see the s/w page has:

1.9.2 (Beta)
1.9 (Beta)

The file for D/L is listed as 1.9 Is the 1.9.2 ready yet ?

Also, SG - I see you have your inverters back on the 'net and they are cranking away.

The download is 1.9.2 though the link just says 1.9

Yes all three inverters are cranking, doing about 60kw/day right now
