Hello All, I recently installed a 10.3kw system, 235 trina panels and (2) PVpowered 4800 inverters. Pretty simple install, nothing complex about it. I basically built a shop specifically for the solar array, points almost due south (185deg). Over the last two days I noticed one of the inverters voltage dropping at the end of the solar day and wondered if this was something normal. The other inverter is not doing this.. so I thought it was a litte odd. The power output doens't seem to be effected by the voltage drop. Any comments?

You probably have shading in the afternoon on the array that the voltage drops are seen on

Thats what i thought as well but I I don't think I do. Also, you would think output would reduce as well, but it produces the same if not more than the other inverter at that same time period.

You would have to post expanded graphs to with detail of the event then to know more. The fact that its making more power might just be both array's are getting very light shading and one is knocking out the shaded panel and the other is keeping it online, tree branch or power lines could do this

Voltage drop could also be a layer of hot stagnant air trapped under an array that lost it's cooling breeze. (Higher temps = lower volts)
