Outback gents!

Finally got my FX! One of my suppliers had a GTFX they needed to get rid of; the original customer returned it/refused it/whatever.
Anyway, they called me, asked it I wanted to buy it at a reduced price. I asked how much, they answered, and I told them "So, why are we even HAVING this discussion!"

Anyway, it arrived today.

I didn't realize just how critical the Mate unit is, for programming the unit. Of course, it didn't come with one. Didn't come with a Turbo either, actually. Another thing on my Christmas list... ;-)

I see the default charging setpoint is 28.8 for an hour. Is there any way to raise that (to 30+) without purchasing a Mate?

I am willing to eventually, but need to know if I need to NOW.

Thanks!

DJ

I Just got a FX2548 , an MX60 and yes I got the mate

SunElectric is selling the mates for 120 bucks , see on ebay or give them a call

The FX without a mate is missing many useful features , so I would have to say , GET THE MATE

Yep... Plugging in a battery temp comp sense (or resistor) with a value around 20 K to 30 K should do the trick.

Temporarily point an external fan at the unit until Christmas if needed...

Geeze, Gup, what DON'T you have?!? If you ever have a garage sale, let me know ;-).

I'll take a peek. My dealer costs are around ~310$ for the Mate, 230$ for the Mate2, Canadian bucks, NIB.

Oh, absolutely! I'm at the *fun* part, though, of a few contracts, where my basement is full of parts for other people's systems(a couple of SPOOLS of 4/0), waiting for install start dates, my wallet is pretty thin right now ;-).

Can do! Thanks much!

Sexy little machines, those GTFXs ;-). They're really starting to catch on up here, too, starting to get hard to find! And hey, the color! ;-).

Thanks guys,

DJ
