Gretings, all. I am planning on building a residential system in Michigan. I have all of the usual questions, but let's start with:
does anyone know of the grid intertie rules for Detroit Edison? Michigan, in May, made a ruling that they had to start to think about maybe making rules for someday thinking about allowing net metering. Anyone heard any progress on this issue? It seems kind of silly to go battery if net metering is possible, but the way it's worded, it sounds like no one's going to jump up and do anything about it any time soon.

You can start by looking up your state at www.dsireusa.org. There is usually a contact name for the state public utility board or some such.
