Hello All:

Now that the ST2500 works like a champ, one can take a close look at Array peformance. I have 48 Siemens SP75s or 3600 nominal watts -- and amount that some would think of as too large for a singe ST2500 inverter. The array is pointed due south at an angle of 22 degrees, 10 less than my latitude. In hot weather, meaning MPPT less than 58 volts -- at times as low as 56 volts, my AC power output runs between 2200 to 2350 watts at solar noon under clear sky coniditions. HERE IS THE QUESTION:
Are other systems using large PV arrays driving an ST2500 to full rated output during this time of year (assuming hot weather)?
Note-- During the spring when we are closer to the sun and temps are lower, I did get full rated output for 2 or 3 hours per day under clear sky conditions.

The arrays that made up of 44 BP-585s (3740 STC watts) are still driving the STXR at full power for at least an hour a day.

The array that only has 40 BP-585s (3400 STC) is not reaching full power.

All the arrays are about 30 degrees east of south. Tilted at about 30 degrees. This is in Cupertino, CA (near San Jose).

The panels could stand some cleaning as well.

Arnold

How close is your 3400 watt array getting to full rating AC power and at what MPP voltage is it occuring?
