The reason I was given was that if the BOS were cycled with some current load, an internal fuse could blow. So I've been shutting off at the disconnect for that reason, knowing that an arc could occur that could destroy the inverter is an even better reason!

Well the Xantrex 3.8 was replaced last week, the heat sink is longer but the tap on the screen to see the Menus thingie isn't working. I have to call them on Monday to report that to make sure its on their log. Its still the same BOS switch so I will just keep it on and not mess with it. This Inverter was also updated, they did some changes to it internally.

Stats are not up because my Laptop went down...I will get a replacement laptop soon.. I like to see what my efficiency has improved any with the replacement inverter.
