that is indeed not bad. you have a very nice setup and your production is way up there. i'm somewhat certain that you are producing far more than you need, but nowadays you never know. i know you produce more than i would need.
as to my radio i just got another rig and i'm not sure if you're up on the radios out there nowadays. i've got the kenwood ts2000x. i need antenna work done, but i also need to get more cable and a new mast. i want to get this stuff as hardline and a better quality mast as i don't wish to keep replacing it every 10-15 years. i'm not getting any younger.
you've got some room for wire antennas i'm sure so if you want to you could start back up. there's lots of repeaters on all of the vhf and uhf bands in calif that with a modest antenna properly placed (no interference with pvs) would give you plenty of com ability. hey if you get active again try to let me know either here, on northern arizona wind and sun's forum, or get my email via callsign lookup, qrz. you could also use the pm features on naws and here if henry has it activated. i didn't try it here. btw, if you do want to get back into it you have to take your test all over again as your license expired 10 years ago. fear not it's not as hard as it was then as you don't need code anymore and the tests are easier now than back then imo.
btw, in answering your question i haven't heard too many complaints on your pvs. i'd suspect if anything would go wrong that it'll be within the first year most of the time so keep one eye open for anything unusual.
